Handcraft
Wearing, using, repairing and passing on things you have made yourself is one of the cornerstones of self-sufficiency. This is perhaps one of the most difficult tasks: independence from civilisation is an illusion, but we must be able to understand and maintain our tools, our clothes and our buildings.
Whether it be adobe, linen, wood or metal: the use of every material can be learnt. The right techniques and methods help us preserve our ancient connection with the material.
In every craft workshop, we strive to bring authentic practical knowledge as close as possible, alongside its theoretical background and the unique experiences of the masters. We believe that practical knowledge can be passed on with sufficient patience and attention.
