Terms of Service

These are the terms you agree to when you use Parasztsuli. They are short on purpose, and each one says why it is here rather than only what it asks. Using the site, and answering an event through it, means agreeing to them.

Your personal data

Using Parasztsuli means you have read the privacy policy and understand what happens to the personal data you give — what is collected, why, and how long it is kept.

It also means you know who is responsible for that data. An event on Parasztsuli has two who are: the organizer who runs it, and Parasztsuli itself, each for their own decisions. Which of us decided what is set out in who is responsible for your data.

Using the service

Use Parasztsuli in good faith — as the tool it is meant to be, for organising and taking part in events. Do not try to break it, to reach the answers other people gave, or to use it to contact people who did not ask to hear from you.

Each event sets its own conditions — who it is for, what it asks of you, and what taking part involves. Read them, make sure you understand them, and keep to them. They are the organizer's terms for their event, not ours, and it is with the organizer that you are agreeing to them.

An organizer may ask things of the people at their event. Where a request is reasonable and about the event, respect it. They are the one hosting; on their event, within what the law and these terms allow, it is their call.

Respecting one another

Treat the events, the people running them and the people taking part in them with respect. Parasztsuli is a place for people to organise and gather, and that only works while it stays civil.

The Parasztsuli name, its logo and its web address are ours. Do not use them for anything beyond using the site as intended — not to present yourself as us, to endorse something in our name, or to suggest we stand behind something we do not. If you have a use in mind, ask us first.

Do not set out to harm the good name or honour of Parasztsuli, of any organizer or participant, or of any event — by spreading what you know to be untrue, or otherwise. Honest criticism is not this; deliberately damaging someone's reputation is.

Risk and responsibility

Every event on Parasztsuli is run by its organizer, not by us. Parasztsuli's part is limited to announcing events and documenting them; the events themselves are carried out by the registered organizers who run them. We provide the tool that lets an event be organised and answered — we are not there, we do not run it, and we do not vet what happens at it. You take part in any event at your own risk, and it is the organizer, not Parasztsuli, who is responsible for the event itself and for what takes place at it.

So Parasztsuli is not responsible for loss, injury, accident or damage — of any kind, whether financial or not — that arises from an event or from taking part in one. A claim about an event lies with the organizer who ran it, or with whoever caused the harm, not with the platform that carried the notice.

By using Parasztsuli you confirm you are 16 or over — the same thing you agree to when you tick the box on signing up or answering an event — and that you meet any further age requirement an event sets for taking part in it.

You also confirm that, where an event sets conditions for taking part, you meet them. Whether you do is between you and the organizer; we do not check, and taking part on the strength of a condition you do not meet is your responsibility, not ours.

To the extent the law allows, you agree not to bring a claim against Parasztsuli for compensation — financial or otherwise — for loss connected with using the platform or with any event on it. That does not touch your rights against an organizer, or against anyone whose conduct harmed you; it is only about claims against us for things that were never in our hands.

The same holds for Parasztsuli as a tool. We offer it as it is, and do our honest best to keep it running and to keep your information safe — but no service is faultless, and we cannot promise it will never be unavailable, never lose data, or never carry a bug. So, as far as the law allows, we are not responsible for loss that comes from the site being down, from a fault in it, or from information going astray through no fault of ours. Where something is genuinely our doing, we put right what the law requires of us.

None of this signs away a right the law does not let you sign away. Nothing here excludes or limits responsibility for death or personal injury, for harm caused intentionally or by gross negligence, or for anything else Hungarian law says cannot be excluded. Where a line above would reach further than the law allows, it applies only as far as the law allows and no further.

Your account

An account on Parasztsuli is yours to use for as long as you use it as these terms intend. We may suspend or close one that is used to break the site, to reach other people's answers, to harass, or otherwise against these terms or the law — and, where we are lawfully required to, when we are told to. Where we reasonably can, we tell you why and give you the chance to put it right first; where the problem is serious or ongoing we may act first and explain after.

You can close your account whenever you want to — write to us at info@parasztsuli.hu and we will do it. What then happens to the data tied to it — what is removed, what is kept as a record of events that actually took place, and for how long — is set out in the privacy policy, and closing your account does not cut short a period the law requires that data to be kept.

Changes to these terms

These terms will change over time, as Parasztsuli does and as the law does. When a change is more than tidying up — when it alters what you are agreeing to — we will ask you to read the new version and accept it before you carry on using Parasztsuli, so you never find you have agreed to something new without being asked. Small clarifications that do not change the substance we may simply publish, noting the date they took effect. Each version is kept, so it stays clear which words you agreed to, and when.

When something goes wrong

If a problem comes up with an event, talk to the organizer first — they run it and are usually the ones who can put it right. If that does not settle it, or the problem is with the platform itself, write to Parasztsuli at info@parasztsuli.hu.

The aim, on every side, is to sort things out together and in good faith before they grow into anything more. Most problems end there, and they are far easier to put right early.

The law that applies

These terms are governed by Hungarian law, and a dispute about them, or about Parasztsuli, that talking it through does not settle may be brought before the Hungarian courts. If you are using Parasztsuli as a consumer, this takes nothing away from the protection the mandatory law of the country you live in gives you, nor from your right to bring your case before the courts there. The law here is a starting point; it does not sign those rights away.
